The designated "Worry If Missing Person",
or WIMP is a ROC member who remains around campus on dates when official ROC
trips are taken. The job of the WIMP is to verify the safe return of the trips,
and to sound the alarm when the designated worry time of trips have passed.

Current WIMP Procedure (as of 4/07)
- Trip leaders take trip sheets with them after meeting - Email Adam Brown + attendees trip details
- Before leaving for trip, complete trip sheet and email to Martha McElligott (mcellm@rpi.edu), the ROC president, and the WIMP.
- On trip day, trip leaders take attendance and bring list to Public Safety
- WIMP will receive trips out, contact info and worry times from Adam Brown
Worry Procedure: If you, as the
WIMP, have not heard from the trip leader by the worry time, try contacting the
trip leader. If he is unreachable call other people that went on the trip. If
no one from the trip can be reached, start calling officers and other people
listed below. If you cannot reach anyone, start calling professional rescue
squads.
