Chris's Suggested Clothing and Supplies for a beginner caver:
- Dress in layers
- Good Solid Shoes
- Durable Pants (for example, jeans that stand up to crawling or warm fleece pants with a nylon potecting them from the outside)
- Ribbed Sweatshirt (If cotton not suggested but will work)
- Polypro (Plastics are perferred when at all possible)
- Long Underwear
- Wool Socks
- Synthetic (non-cotton) clothing that stays warm when wet.
- Three light sources (club provides to members one main light source)
- Cave Helmet (with internal suspension) (club provides to members)
- AN EXPERIENCED LEADER

- Knee Pads, Elbow pads (A dream come true
after your first trip)- Wet Suit (you can wear polypro underneath
and works great for warmth)- Coveralls
- Rubber Boots and/or Waterproof Socks

Cold Weather Caving Extras
(Late October to Late April) During this season it is
usually too cold to change outside, especially if you
are wearing a wet suit because it will freeze to your
body.
- Sturdy Bag (to carry clothes to cave)
- Warm after caving clothing
- Jacket
- Sleeping Pad (thermarest)
- Boots without laces prefered,
laces freeze and have to be cut
